Community Content Policy

📋 Overview

Makineo is a community of users. Some content is user-generated (reviews, profile photos, comments, posts). This policy describes what content is allowed and what is not.

✅ Allowed content

  • — Honest reviews of events (positive or negative opinions about the music, organization, or safety)
  • — Your own photos from events (selfies, you at the venue, friends)
  • — A profile bio with your favorite genres and city
  • — Constructive comments about artists, events, or venues
  • — Discussion about music, recommendations, and venue tips
  • — Content in other languages (Spanish, English, French, etc.)
  • — Honest criticism (even if negative) about safety, sanitation, or venue staff

❌ PROHIBITED content

1. Illegality / Criminal Activity

  • — Content that violates Spanish or local laws
  • — Advertising drugs, weapons, or counterfeit goods
  • — Facilitating illegal activities
  • — Scams, fraud, or cons
  • — Tax evasion or money laundering

2. Harassment / Abuse / Violence

  • — Threats, intimidation, or cyberbullying
  • — Abusive language directed at other users
  • — Incitement to physical or sexual violence
  • — Doxxing (publishing someone's personal information)
  • — Identity impersonation
  • — Coordinated campaigns to harass an individual

3. Discrimination / Hate

  • — Language that discriminates on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
  • — Praise or promotion of fascism, Nazism, or totalitarianism
  • — Content that incites hatred against protected groups

4. Sexual Abuse / Exploitation

  • — Explicit or erotic sexual content
  • — Sexual exploitation of minors (even in the form of a meme or joke)
  • — Sex trafficking or prostitution
  • — Non-consensual sexual deepfakes
  • — Sexual harassment

5. Third-Party Rights

  • — Photos of third parties without their express consent
  • — Other people's personal data (phone numbers, national ID numbers, addresses) without consent
  • — Copyrighted content (songs, videos, images) without authorization
  • — Impersonation of artists, venues, or public figures

6. Spam / Advertising

  • — Unsolicited or commercial advertising
  • — Repetitive spam (the same message posted many times)
  • — Scams (get-rich-quick schemes, cryptocurrency scams, etc.)
  • — Malicious links or phishing
  • — Automated bots posting content

7. Dangerous Misinformation

  • — Content that promotes dangerous self-medication
  • — Conspiracy theories that incite violence
  • — Downplaying health and safety measures at events

📢 How to report content

If you come across content that violates this policy:

Option 1: Report button (in development)

Every post/review will have a "⋮ Report" button. Click it to report anonymously.

Option 2: Direct email

Send an email to [email protected] with:

  • — A link to or screenshot of the content
  • — The user who posted it
  • — Why you believe it violates the policy
  • — Your email (if you'd like a follow-up)

⚡ Actions we take

When we review a report:

We investigate (24-48h)

We review the report and the content.

If it's valid, we take action

Options depending on severity:

  • — Content removed (clear violations)
  • — Account suspended (serious violations)
  • — Account deleted (criminal or repeat violations)
  • — Reported to authorities (if it is legal/criminal in nature)

We notify you (if you provided an email)

We'll let you know what action was taken (without investigation details).

🛡️ DMCA Rights (Copyright)

If your content (photo, music, artwork) is being used without permission on Makineo:

  1. Send a DMCA request to:[email protected]
  2. Include:
    • — URL of the infringing content
    • — Description of your original content
    • — Proof of authorship (original date, copyright)
    • — Your full name and contact details
    • — Signature: "I declare under penalty of perjury that..." [standard DMCA statement]
  3. Timeline: Response within 24-48h; content removed if the claim is valid.
  4. Appeal: If the user believes this was a mistake, they may appeal with evidence.

🔄 Appeals

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake:

  1. Send an email to [email protected]
  2. Explain why you believe the content complies with the policy
  3. We respond within 48-72h
  4. If we uphold your appeal, we restore the content

⚖️ Responsibilities

By posting on Makineo, you represent that:

  • — You have permission to post the content (it is yours or you hold a license for it)
  • — It does not violate any law or third-party rights
  • — It is not stolen, plagiarized, or counterfeit content
  • — YOU are legally responsible if your content causes harm
