What is
Makineo

Makineo is a discovery platform for electronic and underground techno music in Spain. It brings together the scene's events, artists, venues and labels in one place, with tools to decide what to go to and who with.

The problem it solves

Information about the Spanish electronic scene is scattered: events are announced in Telegram groups, in Instagram stories that vanish in 24 hours, and on flyers with unreadable dates. Small venues often have no digital presence at all.

The result is that you miss things happening ten minutes from home. Big platforms cover the large events, but not the local scene or small-capacity venues.

Makineo aggregates that scattered information, structures it and presents it by city: upcoming events with real prices, artists with their dates, and venues that would otherwise appear in no search engine.

A year of work

One night after missing an event because it wasn't announced anywhere. I opened the editor and got started.

Who's behind it

Founder and developer · Data Engineer

I'm Santi, from A Coruña. I've spent years in Spain's techno and electronic scene, going to clubs, following artists, coordinating with friends on where to go each weekend. And through all that time I kept running into the same problem: there was no single place where it all came together.

The platforms out there cover bits and pieces, but none of them properly cover the Spanish local scene. Telegram groups get drowned in noise. And you end up missing out on stuff that was ten minutes from home.

I decided to build it myself. I work as a Data Engineer, so I have the tools to do it right: automated scraping, clean data, search that actually works. But more than anything, I had a crystal-clear problem because I live it firsthand.

Yes. Access is free and there is no advertising. Venues and promoters are not charged to appear either.

The focus is on the real scene, not just the big events: small venues, real prices and coverage of cities the large platforms ignore. It also adds a social layer — crews — to coordinate who you go with.

Which cities does it cover?

All of Spain, with more density in cities with an active scene. Each city has its own page with events, venues and a weekly narrative of what's moving.

How can I add my venue or my events?

Promoters and venues can request an organiser account to publish and manage their own events. You can also reach us from the contact page.

Independent project

Makineo has no outside investment, no promoters behind it and no advertising. Access is free. Events are aggregated from public sources and from promoters themselves, with no pay-to-appear or purchased featured slots.
