For this session, we’re joining forces to bring a true pioneer to Barcelona: the legendary dub master, Scientist. Stepping out of King Tubby's studio in the late 70s, Hopeton Brown (aka Scientist) literally re-wired the way we hear bass music. He turned the mixing desk into a lead instrument, stripping tracks down to their raw, echoing core and laying the groundwork for decades of electronic music to follow. We aren't doing this on a massive festival stage. We’re keeping things raw and intimate, exactly how this music is meant to be experienced. Expect proper low-end weight, heavy dub selections, and a masterclass in live mixing from one of the architects of the genre. Support on the night comes from the Jokkoo and Azadi resident crews, warming up the rig the right way.
