Parasite Jazz make music as if dub, free jazz, and psychedelia had been trapped inside a breakdown. Their sound moves through springs, samples, processed voices, repetition, and drift — part electric ritual, part soundtrack to a sweaty dream. Parasite Jazz will play at the peak of the night. Sax Tape works in that space where saxophone, tape, and loops stop behaving properly. Their sound feels like a damaged broadcast: sticky echoes, warped grooves, and rhythms that bend without ever losing the pulse. There is dub, friction, insistence, and also a strange elegance in the way everything is just the right amount of messed up. Sax Tape will warm up the night once you’ve arrived. Tim Franklin is a DJ who doesn’t let anyone go home early. His sets move naturally from Cuban music to dub, from jungle to Brazilian popular music, from salsa to new wave — with the instinct of someone who is here to stretch the night rather than manage it. At F.T.C.N. Ediciones & Real No Real, he will be responsible for closing out the early hours of the morning.
